I’m about ready to give up on the major tube sites entirely because of the clickbait thumbnails. You click on a high-res, professional-looking image, and you end up with a grainy, 360p video from ten years ago that doesn’t even feature the person in the picture. It’s a total waste of time and honestly ruins the mood. I spent an hour last night just filtering through garbage before I finally found
. What I liked about it was that the previews actually matched the content. It’s such a simple thing, but it’s becoming rare these days. Does anyone else have a "blacklisted" list of sites that use fake thumbnails, or do you have a trick for spotting them before you click?

I feel that way about recipe blogs! You see a beautiful picture of a cake, but when you scroll through three pages of life stories to get to the recipe, it looks nothing like the photo. I’ve been trying to organize my digital life lately and getting rid of anything that feels like a "time sink." I actually spent my evening setting up a new e-reader because I want to get back into fiction this year. It’s much more satisfying than scrolling through endless feeds of nothingness. I hope you guys find a site that works for you, but I’m going to stick to my mystery novels for now.
